Yes, this is a standard neon bombarder(sp?) transformer.  They are
typically used in the preparation of neon tubes for neon sign lighting.
Many coilers have used these with great results.  Check out Terry Blakes
coils at www.tb3-dot-com  He uses one of these for at least one or two coils
on his site.

check out that transformer, it appears to be a 12500-0-12500
configuration with around 50 KVA of peak output! This would be even
larger than most pole pigs. I wish I could afford this thing, its
potential is endless.
