RE: Charging inductors for resonant charging

Original poster: jimmy hynes <chunkyboy86-at-yahoo-dot-com>

Hi,

"A DC resonant charging choke only passes current in one direction because
of the de-Qing diode,
so there is nothing to enforce the volt-second balance and the airgap
is compulsory."

The current starts at 0, and then comes back down to 0 every cycle. Doesn't
that force the
volt-second balance? If the current is forced to 0 every cycle, how can it
build up over many
cycles and cause saturation?
