First off you need to get wintesla
second- my first coil was a 15kv/30ma powered coil. I used a six pack of
beer bottles as my cap. the primary was 14 turns of 1/4" copper pipe spaced
1/2" center to center in a 30۫degree inverse cone.
The secondary was 24awg wire wrapped on 4.5" X 18" remember that pvc is
measured by inner diameter so 4" pvc is about 4.5" outer diameter. I had a
lot of problems with the beer bottle cap so I switch to mmc. I ordered 10
capacitors from digikey that were rated 1600volts .047uf. this ran about
$35.00. This yeilded stronger longer sparks than the beer bottle caps. As a
spark gap I used was two copper wires conected directly to the nst. Here
are some pics http://www.angelfire-dot-com/ult/nickstuffinc/tc.htm hope this
helps
