Besides, with an extensive hacksaw session, you can get down to some wires
and manually short out most diodes from those modern TV flybacks.
For example, saw off the entire side where the adjustment pots are, a few
mm beyond the ceramic plate. Should be a couple of heavier gauge wires /
pins appearing then. Use a DMM to check diode forward voltages on those
pins. With a bit of creativity and luck you can figure out how the diodes
are connected, how they are pointing, and where to solder shorting wires.
The HV AC output is best taken from lowest and highest shorted pins. It's
not optimal (maximum HV out) though.
