That sounds exciting for sure. Worst case, if you cannot find caps rated
high enough to work with this transformer, you can always run it at a lower
voltage with a variac or buck transformer.

When I had my distrubtion transformer made (I'm still upset I didn't know I
could have requested a "customer number" laser engraved into the nameplate
such as my name or something petty like that) , I could have had 19kV
instead of the typical 14.4. I picked 14.4 because it was pretty close to
15kV as from the neon sign transformers I use. This lets me use the same
parts, and test them at lower power levels without the giant transformer.
Testing parts for 19.9 or 19.2kV or whatever it is would be harder to do on
the workbench.
