Hi Tristan,
Put some 10 Watt resistors in series, improves voltage rating cheap and
easy, you do not need to go to 100W.
HV MOV,s are hard to get but the some coilers on the Australian /NZ tesla
list (Tesla Coil Builders of Australia) may get together to do a bulk order.
Caps are no problem, use ceramics, http://www.oatleyelectronics-dot-com/ ,
http://www.oatleyelectronics-dot-com/componts.html or most electronics parts
shops have 15kV ceramics, series up 2.
