Bart -

Refer to my reply to MCP for the new outputs for a .375 rad coil.

Sorry about the error.

I now know that there are coilers who build TC's smaller than 0.5" radius.

John,

Sec of 0.75" is the diameter, not the radius. Note, this coil was tuned in
and sparking at about 5 turns with 2nF. MCP has changed to 6nF, so the
turns will be significantly less on a primary which already had very few
turns to start with. Not a good situation for MCP. Correcting sec size
using JHCTES version 3.4 has a problem. It accepts the 0.375" radius input
for the secondary initially, but when I recalculate, this value changes to
0.5". So there must be a size limitation built in for coils no less than 1
inch diameter? Fres doesn't seem to be able to be solved with JHCTES v3.4
unless there is an input error I can't seem to find.

Inca and Fantc agree with the new Javatc v10. It would be nice for program
comparison if an Fres measurement could be made for the bare coil sitting
on the ground as well as with primary in place. Of course, that would help
MCP out a great deal.

Take care,
Bart
