The smoothing cap is normally 10 X the primary cap.
But why are you going through all this trouble? DC will require discharge
safety resistors across your caps. If you go to full resonant charging with
a reactor then you may have to upgrade your primary cap values, ie, higher
voltage. Your smoothing cap may be more expensive than your primary cap
with it's X10 rating.
