How about the other way around? Put the tesla coil a foot or two away, use
a grounded metal nossel and spray helium on the coil and have the arc
travel back to the mouth?
Or mabey insted of that, you could have the arc travel downwards, sorta
like the object is getting struck by a lighting bolt from the heavens
