Re: do i need more caps for my pt coil?

I always run two 4.7 Meg 1/2 watt resistors in series across each cap. 2 kV
across a single resistor is pushing things a bit hard for a resistor
designed for approx 500 Volts. With two in series we have never had a
resistor flameout.
