Thanks for the replies.
The problem was indeed the new signal waveform I was passing to the gate
transformer. Since i was basically using
a waveform which was positive for 25% of the time, 0 for 75% of the time,
there was indeed a DC bias component on the
core causing some serious problems. A decoupling capacitor (or gapped core
as someone mentioned) would alleviate this problem. However, I've decided
to try a different topology.
Basically as Steve said I think, just run Output A and Output B through
their individaul TC4422 (non-inverting) FET drivers
and then wire them to the primary of gate drive transformer (with decoupling
capacitor in series also.) One transformer would suffice (as Steve also
mentioned), but i'll be using two just because my board is already set-up
for two transformers.
