voltage-fed vs. current fed bridge

Dear List,
Having read that voltage fed bridge the output voltage is fixed by the rail
voltage,
presumably in the case of a current-fed bridge the output current is fixed
by the rail current.
What is the consequence of this on the rail voltage -can the DC input
voltage be fixed by di/dt in a current-fed bridge driving an inductive load?
