Ground current?

I am making a coil with 4.5 by 27 inch secondary,
powered by a 4 MOT stack. Should I worry about my
ground current? The main part of the ground is 2
5-foot copper pipes driven into the ground and watered
thoroughly. The connection is 8AWG cable, and there is
a short piece of 16AWG directly from the bottom of the
secondary to the 8AWG conductor. Will this work?
