These "tungsten" fishing weights are fabricated using a powder-metal
process, and end up being tungsten powder held together by a nickel binder.
If used in a high-power spark gap, the nickel will vaporize and the whole
electrode will erode at a much faster rate than would an electrode made from
straight tungsten. However, they might be suitable for a low-power coil with
lots of cooling air flow. The low price makes it worthwhile to test some and
see exactly how fast they erode.
