Re: NST in oil design to help prevent NST failures

Where is the major expense in your ballast and transformer cores: the
lamination material itself or in the laser cutting? Have you been having the
lamination supplier perform the laser cutting using his own in-house laser?
At the moment, there are dozens of laser-cutting and water-jet houses on the
west coast who are a little low on work and would be happy to quote this
job.
Have you priced water-jet cutting vs laser cutting? What lamination
thickness do you use?

Regards,
Scott Hanson
