Tesla Remote Controlled Devices

Anyone ever try to build a remote control such as the one Tesla built
(remote control boat)???
I am guessing that it was basically a variety of resonators tuned to
different frequencies, and a variety of tesla coil type resonators were used
to
excite these and provide the necessary energy to control the boat in various
ways.

Hmmm. . . could be a cool project.
