Lance: I am glad to see your posting. I have several TC's I also use rolled
(4 each in paralleled) Poly capacitors ( in oil), and inverted cone primary.
I also use cone secondary made of fiberglass formed on rubber highway
barricade cones. I have the best results using double cones with no problems
powered by a 15-30 NST. I also use input filters on the primary and
secondary of my NST. My tube tc works best with solenoid primary and cone
secondary. My flat primary factions as well as any other ,but takes up a lot
of space. I have had a problem with PVC coil forms and polyester coating if
I don't pre coat the coil form with a solvent based coating to make the
polyester stick well to the coil form because the copper/ poly ester/ PVC
have different expansion rates and come apart as temperature changes. My
main secondary is also # 24 wire, space wound.
