As for my former sona tube secondary form.
I made the thing strictly buy the book.
22awg 36" tall by 10" round.
dried
lots of Polly inside and out
2 lexan disks inside to discourage inner arcing
gobs of poly over the windings
I was so careful, so sure….

She was my beautiful baby
she made the best sparks. She tuned so well that when she ran you couldn't 
get a florescent light to light up in your hand.
She lived for a year or so, but in the end her shape shifted and turns 
overlapped
and that was all. She was burned to death buy her own power supply.
