Hi Jim
A museum coil at Scitech in Australia made by Stan Deyo was gold plated but
I don't know how long it lasted. After 10 years or so they had changed to a
spun copper toroid. (It still had a lot of the other components intact
including the original Mylar tank cap). Not sure about price though.
