I once had a breakdown inside a PVC secondary. The arc somehow went from
outside under the copper winding, through the PVC and then tracked down to
the bottom end. I didn't see any holes when I cleaned it prior to winding,
but I wasn't looking for any. The pipe was from a ditch.
