David, You can get tungstens with a 3/8" face that are silver brazed to 1/2"
Mild steel. I have a Miller 350 syncrowave TIG welder and these are for the
spark gap for the high frequency unit used in welding aluminium. I don`t
have a part number but these are available at any welding supply under the
name "Spark Gap Points". They may vary some between manufactures, Miller,
Lincoln, Airco and Hobart. I changed the ones in my welder about 5 years ago
and the cost was about 3 bucks each, (4 required). Best regards, John
