Hi Rodney,
The insulation is type "H":
http://hot-streamer-dot-com/temp/MMC-24.jpg
"Officially", that works out to:
Min. Diameter 0.0218
Nom. Diameter 0.0222
Max Diameter 0.0227
41.44 TPI
The nominal diameter of the copper wire alone is 0.0201
The measure diameter of the MMC wire I have is 0.0220 +-0.0001
#24 wire should be wound with a tension of ~2.71 Lbs.
The winding percentage is 92.5% (0.0222 / 0.925 = 1 / TPI)
Cheers,
Terry
