Costs aside from trying to get commercial service to your home, you can get 
three phase service off two transformers. This is done by some utilities 
for "small" 3 phase users, usually by adding one smaller transformer to the 
normal large one for the single phase part.
Not really useful info for your problem, but fun anyways.
