That is very nice work indeed.  However, Terry (Blake), you could make
something very similar using only a scroll saw
and drill press.  Although not as precise or "clean", from a distance, you
wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
For the supports, you can drill holes at a distance of (1/2 diameter of
slot) from the edge with a drill press.  Then use a scroll saw to make these
holes square at the edge to insert the wire.

However, Terry's cuts look very nice indeed.  A scroll saw won't make cuts
nearly that straight and precise, but it would still look very nice.
