The maxima exist, theoretically and practically. See the graph made
by Terry, posted little time ago. They are, however difficult to
observe, because large differences only appear when the coil operates
with very high coupling, as 0.6 (mode 1-2) or 0.385 (mode 2-3).
With lower coupling only instruments can detect them, and with
breakout occurring it's practically impossible to observe anything.
