Your NST is toast. I've done this one before.
However you can repair the damage by depotting the NST. Either Gasoline or
high heat to melt out the tar and then using other solvents to to clean the
rest up...to access the core. You'll have to make new secondaries. After put
the whole transformer unit in mineral oil or transformer oil.
PS: You could use Microwave Oven Transformers as an alternative, as they are
MUCH more durable and can be found for free or dirt cheap prices. This power
supply idea is catching on VERY quickly.
