A simpler method I used some time ago.
-Isolate yourself from the ground on position you want
to observe your C.(make the isolation good one!) 
-Take with one hand electrode of on 50 V -at- 60 Hz and
measure current (microamp range) in electrode
base:closer to your hand the better.
