A number of different metals work well as RSG electrodes besides
tungsten.  I particularly like copper or steel.  Tungsten is best,
but at lower powers the copper or steel work very well.  The use
of steel bolts as spinning electrodes with copper as fixed electrodes
can make the design quite simple.  You can see some examples
