Greg,
Is the ALF on track in terms of funding and all the non-technical logistics?
It will be stupendous if it actually comes to fruition. Interesting about
the new Fo.

I assume the military has been approached vis the aircraft lightning testing
angle.
Dave

Dave, All,

The Fo of each secondary on the ALF has now dropped
to approximately 8,2oo Hz. This is slightly lower
than I'd like, since the duty factor of the charging
circuit is now above 10%. The frequency was lowered
in an effort to keep the primary volts/turn below 60kV.

One option is to place the secondary inside the primary,
although there's the concern that this could adversely
affect the secondary voltage stress factor. I'm going to
go and read carefully through the TSSP web site to see
Paul or anyone else considered the effects of an internal
secondary placement on secondary voltage stress factor.

Thoughts, anyone?
