Agree with that

disagree . . . with the two cores in series, the total inductance will
increase, and the current drawn from the line will decrease.  The 2 cores
that are being magnitized will make it harder for the current to flow.
If the two were in parallel, then the total inductance would decrease, and
the current draw would increase.
