Re: fibreglass secondary or sealed pvc

Hi All,
I have a 10x46" fiberglass form that Marc M. sent me. Looks to be an
old water softner bottle. The bung in the bottom was just the right size
for a 2.5" PVC coupler to be hammered in, and a female drain-plug adapter
cemented in place. The coil is would with 20ga wire, and coated with Behr
Build 50. It's given me numerous runs without any flashovers, or failures
of any sort. Sparklength is about what I'd expect from a coil of that size
running at the various power levels, and it's never been overly warm to the
touch even after extended runs. It's light, easy to mount to the primary
deck, and looks cool :) Spun fiberglass water softner bottles
rock. Thanks Marc!
