Sorry,
High resistance, high wattage resistors ARE available. On October
6th I bought 2 resistors on Ebay for a total of $4.00+S&H. One is an IRC
type MVB-Y747, 200Megohm-at-150W. It is 4.5" long x 1" diam. The other is an
RPC type X4062 306Megohm 2% -at-75W. It is 5" long x 0.75" diam. There are
some 100 Meg and some 66 Meg -at-15KV for sale right now on Ebay. It takes a
little looking but they are around.
