     None at all, will work fine.
     A note here for anyone building pingers- I have been playing around with
the UC3842 switch-mode power supply controller IC lately- These are commonly
available for less than $1.50 and can be worked into pingers easily. The
nice thing about this chip is that it can be made to act like the trusty old
555 timer but has the advantage of a serious low-Z output driver that can
source/sink over an amp. It's a really cool part for this app, check it out!
Digikey has them. I'll post a schematic if anyone is interested.
