It was actually nearly 8 feet. Only needed one inch extra, but never
got it. Resonant cap size was .0795uF with 120v input to the
transformers. I did try .1015uF, but best performance was .09uF. The
variac was wired for 140v output to the transformers. I was using a
SRSG, 120bps, and could only achieve the 95 inch sparks with half-inch
wide copper stationary electrodes. Anything less and the spark length
dropped. See it at the link below.
