Altitudes and contests

With regard to the mini coil competition, the contest rules stipulate that
a streamer length derating figure will be applied to entries at greater
than 1000 feet above sea level. I found a link at the USGS web site that
may help contestants find the altitude of their locations. See
http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form. Under
Feature Name, put your city, and enter your state in the drop-down
menu. Leave the Feature Type field blank, and Send Query. It will return
a list of features for which data exists. Not all features list
elevations, so you'll have to choose the feature closest to you that lists
an altitude.
Terry, did you ever arrive at an altitude-based derating formula?
