Hi,
Since power loss is (I^2)*R then you
willl be losing 1600*resistance of wire, what
i was wondering was - would it be better to
wind 4 separate windings? say you reduce the
CSA of the wire by a factor of four and also
reduce the current flow through it by a factor
of 4, since it is (I^2) then that should be
equiv to a factor of 8 decrease - overall
result is halving the power loss and making it
a LOT easier to wind! Is this rubish ? Have i
goofed?
