Hi, no reason not to use one, they are easy to find and act much the same as
a neon transformer. I have found that most from the junkyard were removed
because of unreliable service. Usually that means the tar has cracked, and
failure is pending. I asked one of my friends who services burners to save
me a few at the beginning of winter and a month later he had 30 for me. My
brother has blown out 7 of them but the 8th one is over a year and going
fine. price $00......a lot of fun for little money. cul brian f.
