Hookup wire?

Hello People,
 
 I'm very close to assembling my coil but am not sure what type of wire to use
to 
run from the dual 12/30 NST's to the spark gap and cap. I have seen many 
different designs using various gage wire and also copper banding.
Is there a particular kind of wire that is well suited for this?
