Why are folks even talking about potting diode strings? Since each diode
is only rated at 1kV, one doesn't need to take such extreme measures to
keep 1kV from arcing to the next diode.

Hi All
Can anyone comment on using PARRAFIN WAX for potting diode strings? I
don't know what it's electrical properties are like, but it is certainly
easy to pour when molten...
Cheers
