Questions on coil secs

	I have been trying to make a low cost coil for about a year now and at 
first used an ignition coil because of the fear of getting shocked and 
killed by an nst but have overcome that fear and have moved into the 
wonderful world of nsts.
	Anyway I got a 12000 volt 30ma nst from a local sign shop for free (yeah) 
And have a few questions.  First of all I went to home depot to pick up some 
12 awg copper solid wire for a primary and happened to be in the section 
with pvc/abs pipe and found a abs pipe that cost $14 had a diameter of 6" 
and 24" long. I was wondering if this would make a better secondary than my 
4.5" X 24" abs pipe if so what awg magnet wire would I need how much of it 
and about how many wine bottle caps would I need (just a rough estimate)
