Re: flat coil ?

Would it not be possible possible to use imperial inches for Do and Dw
rather than metric if preferred? Looking at the equation I don't see why
not.

Also in the equation for Total Length of wire the expression "D" crops up.
Is D actually Do as I surmise or is it the average diameter or maximum
diameter?
