With smaller coils (60 mA supply xmfr or less) you usually overquench if you
blast it with a dual rotary spark gap. A good design for a single gap
usually works best. At 60 mA a dual stationary gap works good. At 120 mA a
good rotary synchro type (4 elec. x 1800 rpm) gap works very good.
