Hi Dan,
If you were to wined a length of 22" on a 4.5" piece with 28awg wire you
would need aprox 2000 feet or 1 lbs of wire, your secondary would have aprox
1700 turns on it with a Self resonant frequency of 215khz. For a wined
length off 22" with 26awg wire you would need aprox 1500 feet or 1 lbs and
3oz of wire secondary would have aprox 1240 turns on it with a Self resonant
frequency of 295khz. If I were you id go with the 26awg wire if you have
enough, your secondary will have a good number of turns, as well as it will
have 1/2 as much resistance, it will also handle more power, more durable,
and easier to wined your secondary form. But hey its your choice have fun.
