I've done some very quick tests that suggest to me that a MOT can deliver 3A
charging spikes into Cp. This being the case it will be difficult to get a
bang at every presentation. I'd be most intersted to see a post when you get
it going with two figures
1) Actual firing BPS
2) What size Cp you used
I suspect balancing may be easier than you think. I run 3000 rpm on 280mm
dia disk and because it was all made with lathe and circle cutting gear (ie
its made accurately) its real smooth
