Terry,

Thanks for the vote of confidence!!  Unfortunately for now i only have a 
static gap.  But the 5 foot goal comes from the fact that my friends coil 
can throw 4.5 footers from a dual 12/60 un modified supply and a static gap. 
  I guess <500ohms isnt really way off anyway.  Thanks again, i'll wire them 
up soon and hope for the best.
