Water pipe -OK for primary?

I am considering whether 15mm copper water pipe, solder elbow joints and
plastic stand-offs -all available from plumbers merchants- could be used to
fabricate a square flat pancake primary with the elbows forming the rounded
corners and the insulators supporting the pipe above a wooden mounting board.

Is there any merit in this construction -after all wouldn t 15mm pipe have even
less resistance than 1/4 inch refrigerator tubing? Or is it be more likely that
eddy currents would be induced in the pipes and cause losses?
