MOT spec data tests & question

Interesting tests to report
 
Wanted to know the pk current O/P of a MOT to calculate minimum time between
bangs on the SRSG.
 
Standard 900w Mwave MOT tested
 
Isec into S.C 1.7A rms
Isec feeding 22nF with static gap across cap to obtain a discharge near Vpk.
Ipk was over 3A after S.G had fired.
 
Method used measure V across 1ohm res inserted at eth end of cct measured V
across the 1ohm.
Has anybody replicated these figures ?
