My wife is of the same general persuasion but she seems to have
reconciled herself to my "coiling"--especially after a "Tesla & Tapas"
party we gave last year at which I "wowed" all our friends.

But perhaps you would do well to start out small--with a table-top-sized
coil.  Work up to the big ones.

But on the basis of 45 years' experience, I would advise that it takes
maybe half that time to implement any significant change in the
fundamental attitudes of one's wife; so take the long view.
