Overvolting MOT's

Tesla List,
I've read numerous posts lately that about people running 120v MOT's at
240v. I always thought that there would be problems with saturation once
you went a bit over their rating voltage, am I mistaken? Of those people
who are doing it, what's your set-ups and oppinions/recommendations? I know
oil is a must to prevent secondary to core breakdowns.
I just completed a new perminant Jacob's Ladder except for the power supply.
Currently I run it off of my 12/180 NST bank but I want to make a more
powerful supply. My idea was to run 3 MOT's, secondaries in series,
primaries in parallel with one more in series for ballast, driven with 240v.
This should give me ~12kv at plenty of current.
I wanted to try this and see how suitable they would be for a tesla coil
supply. I always appreciate your guys oppinions!
