RE: GM HEI coil

Darin, Terry:
May I respectfully suggest that the JPG you originally referred to be
trashed and instead, point to the PDF file from my coil?
The circuit diagram is now very correct and shows the correct config of
caps including the RS part numbers. The .01µF are blue and you need two in
parallel for .02µF value.
The first diagram that I literally threw together was based on Marc's first
info exchange and as you realize, many refinements happened afterwards.

So, I believe the right page is:

Thanks

Hey Terry,
Are those caps ceramic disk (orangeish) ? I allways get the value mixed
up of the ones I have although I know they are probally not 1uF (got them
at raidoshack)
The one thing I wonder though is shouldnt I at least get somthing out of it?
I dont even get the tiniest spark. I did use the MetlickaGap circuit
schematic
to figure out the wires. Im wondering if it is my dimmer, it is just a
light dimmer,
the cheapest one I could find. I will have to dissect it to see.
But enough rambling...If I understand correctly I ***should*** be able
to draw an arc from the HV button to the "ground" wire, correct?
Just want to be sure, can never be to carefull with HV. I will definatly
check the caps though.
